A luxury boutique hotel that reinterprets Victorian elegance through a modern lens.
The Neo-Classical Revival project involved the total interior transformation of a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse in London. The architectural challenge was to strip back decades of insensitive renovations to honor the original stone masonry while introducing a sophisticated, modern hospitality experience. We preserved the historic lightwell, transforming it into a dramatic glass-enclosed elevator shaft.
The material palette is restrained: Calacatta marble, brushed brass, and dark oak. These textures were chosen to complement the original plaster moldings and grand staircases. The result is a hotel that feels deeply rooted in London’s history, yet offers a quiet, minimalist refuge from the city’s contemporary pace.
